Long Distance
A move over 150 Miles is a long
Distance move. These moves require packing/loading time (one day),
travel time to new location (14-21 days) and unloading time (one day).
Your cost is measured by weight. Any box packing is extra. A
"packing day" prior to moving will save you time and money.
How do local moves work?
- If
needed, prior to your moving day, we box any items you want packed.
The truck is also driven to a weight station, too verify "empty"
(without your items loaded) truck weight.
- On the day of your move, you
will sign the "Request of Order" & "Service Order". This allows us
to move your items. Workers begin professional packed/wrapped your
items and move them to the truck. A detailed list of items loaded
is recorded. We will receive a copy of this list. Great care
is taken to insure you item are NOT damaged.
- After loading the truck, we
double check to ensure we have all items you need to more and lock the
truck. You items remain safe & secure for movement to your new
location.
- The is then driven back
to the weight station for your "full" (weight with your item on it)
truck weight. The different from the "empty" weight and the "full"
weight, is your weight charge. This is the cost basis for your move.
Your weight charge, multiplied by the cost per pound, is your total.
(example 2,000 lbs. X $.41¢ =
$820.00)
- You will be charged for
packing material, and blankets.
- You must
pay half the estimated bill prior to the move. The final payment
is made on delivery. You may pay by Cash,
credit card (Visa/Master Card), Money Order or Bank Certified Check. |
